We had our first official houseguest last week!!

My sister Rachel came to visit 

so we decided to show her all the sites the Bay area has to offer.

I just couldn't resist.

Brandon's face in each and every one of these pictures is 

priceless.

Tears were streaming down my face from laughter.

Life is not boring.

A Very Lucky Man

Let me tell you why I am a very lucky man...

Every single morning, 

I get to wake up next to 

the girl of my dreams

She tells me that she loves me

and then asks me what I want for breakfast

(even if we're running late)

After that, we jump in the car 

and I get go on a 15 minute road trip

with my best friend

(20 minutes if there is traffic)

At 6:30pm, I leave work and 

walk out to the parking lot

Even after 2 months 

(73 days to be exact)

I still can't believe that the

 beautiful girl waiting next to the blue Honda 

is waiting for me

I then get my daily dose of laughter

as Sarah tells me about 

all the crazy customers 

that come in to her work

We get home and then she fixes 

me whatever dinner I want

(the pulled pork sandwiches are my favorite)

We then watch episodes of 

of my favorite TV show (The Office)

 even though we have seen

 them hundreds of times already

We get ready for bed 

and she again tells me 

that she loves me

Right before I fall asleep

I always think the same thing...

I am a very lucky man

I scream!

I have a new obsession called...

 make homemade lemon ice cream and then eat it.

Its my sister-in-law Janie's recipe,

and its ah-mazing!

If you add fruit to ice cream that means its healthy right?

Santa Cruz

Dear Santa Cruz,

Thanks for letting us spend our Saturday with you.

We loved riding the Hurricane,

aka the smallest/most expensive roller coaster in the world!

My stomach hurt from laughing so hard,

and Brandon lost his voice from yelling (screaming) so much.

Also, thanks for introducing us to 

fried oreos and twinkies.

(Brandon was in heaven)

We can't eat carbs for a the rest of the month...

but it was totally worth it.

Hopefully we'll back to visit you again soon!

(but next time feel free to leave out the $60 parking ticket)

100 Days

Family Home Evening this week was based off of

this cute Mormon Messages video,

Expressions of Love.

(I cry every time I watch it)

We love the part about the sweet notes that

Elder Scott would leave his wife,

so we decided to give it a try.

Every day for the next 

100 days,

we'll right each other a love note

and put it in the note jar. 

The note can be cute, funny or sweet,

but it can't be a repeat.

(today mine was funny, and Brandon's was sweet)

We're calling it...

Being married is fun.

but being married to Brandon is especially fun!

He makes 

marriage easy

and

life better.

10: He's a germaphobe

(say goodbye to the 5 second rule)

9: He watched the Sound of Music with me

and

let me sing along to all the songs

and 

didn't care when I got the words (notes) wrong (tone deaf).

8: He sneaks in every morning while I'm getting ready and makes the bed.

7: When I switched his Life cereal with the generic brand called Simple Living,

he happily ate it.

(hey life on a budget is rough)

6: Sometimes he tells me that my cooking is the best he's ever had,

but I know that's not true because his mom is like a skinny Paula Dean.

5: He had me explain the entire Twilight series to pass time in the car.

(he's team Jacob)

4: He lets me order burgers and fries

even though I complain about feeling fat.

3: He stayed up with me to watch Paul Blart Mall Cop.

(that's true love)

2: When I pick him up from Apple after working out,

he tells me that I look cute

(lie #1)

and that I don't smell. 

(lie #2)

1: He talks in his sleep.

The other night he yelled out razor,

and I just turned over and fell right back to sleep.

With a smile on my face

(The next day we bought razors)
