little bit of this and that

We went to the Jimmer Show the other night.
Brandon was in heaven
and since basketball is one of the only sports I actually understand,
I enjoyed myself as well!

I made a new Halloween wreath this year.
I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out,
and I'm especially happy that it only cost about $8 to make!

Now that's my kind of craft!!

I am currently obsessed with artichoke hearts.
(is that weird?)
I make recipes based upon whether they call for artichoke hearts or not.
Very few do.
So we've been eating a lot of salads lately.

Brandon is thrilled.

Dear Mom,
I know I used to hate AH's growing up
and would get mad at you when you'd cook with them.
You were right and I was wrong.
Forgive me.

And last but certainly not least.
According to the US Government,
the State of Utah,
and
Chase Bank...
I am now officially Sarah Moore!
It only took 3 months to get here,
but it sure feels good!

BFF's

Most people haven't had the same best friend since they were 2 years old.
I'm one of the lucky ones!

Happy Birthday
to one of the greatest gals I know!

Thanks for choreographing 157 dances to Paula Abdul with me.
Thanks for teaching me how to flat iron my hair.
and
Thanks for being friend...even when I was fat!
(and not cute)

I hope we look like this when we're older!

I'm 99.9% sure that Satan invented
packing,
 moving,
and then
unpacking.
(audible sigh)

But we're in....
kind of.

I'm excited to get unpacked,
decorate,
and turn our little apartment into our
home.

texas, texas, and more texas!

My trip to Texas was amazing!
Playing with Ella and Piper was pure joy.
Doing P90X with Becca was pure torture.
Not doing my hair all week was heavenly.
Lots of shopping and eating was good for my soul,
yet bad for my wallet and thighs.
Getting splashed by Shamu at Seaworld was memorable.
and
Leaving the Rodgers family was sad.

however...
coming home to my cute husband
was happiness.

Here are some pics from the Lone Star state.
Enjoy!

(This could quite possibly be one of my favorite pictures of all time)

Hey, life's hard when you're a princess and a super hero!

Texas

Next week i'm headed to my husband's favorite place on earth...
Texas
(he's never been to spokane)

I'm excited to head down south where
 everything's bigger,
the BBQ is to die for
and
the humidity makes my bangs curl up like its 1987.

Although I will miss Brandon dearly,
I look forward to some much needed time with my nieces, sister and Blue Bell Ice Cream.

Clear eyes, full hearts.....

goodbye

Tomorrow is our last day in California
and my heart is breaking.

I sure am going to miss our little apartment,
driving Brandon to and from work everyday,
sleeping on an air mattress,
eating on a card table,
and who could forget
our beautiful hand-me-down couches from the 90's!

I honestly didn't think I would be this sad to leave our little temporary home.
But it was a our first apartment,
our first bed,our first couch
and most importantly,
where I first learned how to be a wife,
and that's why I love it.

I guess you could say
"I left my heart in San Francisco"
(get it, the song)

Goodbye sunny beautiful California, Hello snowy scary driving Utah!
